Hybrid Intelligence Decision-Making is an initiative launched by Q4BS to develop a robust, scientifically-grounded, human-centric approach to business decision-making. As Artificial Intelligence continues to evolve, its growing influence is poised to fundamentally transform the way we make business decisions. This project aims to establish the new MESH Business(R) Xi platform — a decision-making framework that integrates human intelligence, creativity, and tolerance with the capabilities of Predictive AI (Symbolic AI) and Generative AI (Non-symbolic AI). The model will be build under the brand MESH Xi (R).
General-purpose AI models are already prevalent in both the private and business sectors. Even AI models used primarily for brainstorming and inspiration are increasingly shaping the way we think and argue in business decision-making. Experts will soon confront the reality that their recommendations, rooted in years of business experience, will be juxtaposed with AI-generated insights. This evolution carries a systematic risk of promt failure, model halluzination, or misbelieving in trustworthiness, which must be addressed to ensure the development and use of simple-to-use, transparent and trustworthy AI.
The launched project aims to enhance the understanding and methodologies for Human Intelligence-AI collaboration in business decision-making. The established MESH Business(R) X platform, which visualizes human decision-making for specific, or gereral purpose, will be upgraded to MESH Business(R) Xi incorporating AI technologies .
Update 08/22/2024: ArtificialIntelligence in Healthcare Decision-Making
AI-based decision-making in healthcare and life sciences ispoised to become the standard. Soon, patients will likely question whether human decisions have been verified by AI to ensure they are trustworthy and scientifically sound.
The real challenge for us as experts, scientists, andindustry innovators lies not only in the technical aspects and potential of Human-AI collaboration but also in ensuring the transparency and trustworthiness of AI-driven decisions. A simple visiblility of certainty, risk and uncertainty for the patients is key.
Update 07/13/2024:
With the enforcement of the EU AI Act, strict regulations are now in place governing the use of Artificial Intelligence in industry. The Act introduces a risk classification system for AI, ranging from low to high risk. High-risk systems, especially those influencing decisions in critical areas like healthcare, transportation, or business management, are subject to stringent requirements. By integrating human intelligence with AI in MESH Business(R) solutions, the project not only enhances human-machine collaboration but also assesses compliance with the new EU regulations.
